I made sculpts of the TMNT back in 2011, but back then I was really just learning how to sculpt. They had weird proportions and a few issues with the actual 3D prints (Raph was top heavy, Mike was fragile, Don wasn’t dynamic). I haven’t had much time to sculpt recently, but I did have enough to revamp them. I hope they print nicely.
I kind of like this guy’s design but it doesn’t make much sense. He has stitching on the site of his shirt and mask as if it’s supposed to allow expanding when he uses venom and pumps up. But then he were’s like a million belts, which would imply his clothes are loose.
So I needed to make a Krang to go with my Shredder, Bebop, and Rocksteady. I based him off of the most classic (and ugliest) design, even though he’s been redesigned since then. Someone suggested I make the brain removable for the print, but I think that would cause more problems than it’s worth. I’d have to squash him so he can easily fit in the belly casing. Also people would just lose him all the time. Once you lose the brain he’s just an awkward, fat guy in a speedo.
I would love to print him at giant size (Like 7 or 8 inches tall), but I think he’s fine just being a normal sized figure too. He tends to switch sizes while he fights.
This is a pretty irrelevant character, but I guess you can just paint him to be Carnage or any other random symbiote. There’s way too many of them. I think it’ll print nicely, but I’ll have to fatten up the goopy parts.
